Overview

The 3 days gorilla trek takes you from Uganda’s capital Kampala to the gorilla world. As you might have read before, Uganda is a home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The gorillas in Uganda are found in Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks.

The 3 DAY gorilla trek begins from Entebbe through Kampala to Bwindi. This package will reward you with a short memorable gorilla trekking experience with these amazing primates in their natural habitat of Bwindi.

If you have a short break/ vacation or need an experience with Uganda gorillas that begins from Entebbe or Kampala, this package is for you.

Please note that the drive from Kamapala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is 8-9 hours as opposed to the 4 hours drive from Kigali in Rwanda. Along the way in Uganda, you will visit the Equator and explore Uganda’s countryside as you drive to Bwindi.

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

This safari is a Grade B or a moderately difficult Safari route. So any fit person can do this Safari, even if you do not have any previous experience. Moderate fitness is enough. Most game drives and boat trips don’t require strenuous physical effort. However, basic fitness helps you enjoy.

How long do we walk every day when doing this safari?

On average, you walk about 1 to 2 hours per day.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 2610m. This is the elevation of Bwindi Impenetrable forest National park in the south western Uganda.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route in our safari jeeps. Chargers should be brought , however they should be British compatible. There are hot shower facilities as well both in Hotels and camping sites .

Are there ATMs n the way during this safari?

You can access ATMs on this Safari route in major towns. There are visa payment machines in the park, however you are advised to carry some cash in local currency just in case.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Uganda is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection. However our agency provides WIFI Services throughout the trips
