The 3-Days safari Murchison falls tour gives you a magnificent view of the Murchison water falls on the Victoria Nile found in Uganda’s largest conservation national park. Murchison waterfalls are well known for its strange force as the whole River Nile water forces itself down through a six-meter-wide gorge. This makes the fall to be the strongest in Africa and possibly in the world. Murchison falls national park was first gazette in 1952 and it was initially known as Kabalega National Park.

With this package, you’ll visit the largest and oldest national park in Uganda. This tour includes game drives, a launch trip to the bottom of the falls, a visit to the top of the falls, visiting the Devil’s Cauldron, and so much more. It is known for its outstanding beauty, the big four animals, and the world’s most powerful waterfalls.

Arrival for 3 days Murchison Safari Experience
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and picked by your guide who will transfer you to your accommodation in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Take enough rest and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead on Day one

Tracking in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

After breakfast, depart from Kampala and drive to the North towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is the best place in Uganda where you can encounter wild rhinos. Have lunch and embark on a guided rhino tracking experience and get up close to these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Learn about conservation efforts and the importance of protecting these endangered species. After the tracking, continue to Murchison Falls National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Murchison Falls National Park Game Drive and boat cruise

With a packed breakfast, begin your day with an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s largest and most diverse park. Explore the savannah grasslands, searching for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, leopards, and various antelope species. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a 3-hour boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls, where you can witness the powerful rush of water as the Nile water forces its way through a 6-meter narrow gorge. Hike to the top of the falls. After the Nile excursions, go for an evening game drive to look for predators hunting and the nocturnal rise up for their night shift. After you return to the hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: Morning Breakfast and Return to Entebbe.

After a heavy breakfast, you'll prepare to embark on the drive back to Entebbe, a journey
of about 350 kilometers but full of interesting sceneries and vegetation cover that will keep
you awake through the entire duration of the drive.
You will proceed to the airport or to the agreed hotel to mark the end of this melodramatic 3 day experience in the most beautiful wildlife park in the country.

You will be dropped by the airport/ hotel as you wait for your next return flight.

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

3 Day Murchison Safari is a Grade B or a moderately difficult Safari route. So any fit person can do this Safari, even if you do not have any previous experience. Moderate fitness is enough. Most game drives and boat trips don’t require strenuous physical effort. However, basic fitness helps you enjoy.

How long do we walk every day during the 3 Day Murchison Safari ?

•Short walks on uneven trail surfaces. So if you’re comfortable walking 30–45 minutes on uneven paths and sitting in a vehicle for several hours, you’ll be fine!

What is the highest altitude reached in this Safari?

The maximum altitude in Murchison Falls National Park is approximately 1,292 meters (4,239 feet) above sea level.

•Lowest areas (along the Nile River): ~600–620 meters above sea level

•Highest areas (escarpments and elevated northern sections): ~1,290 meters above sea level

The park sits within the Albertine Rift Valley, which explains the variation in elevation. The dramatic drop of the Nile at the falls happens where the river plunges through a narrow gorge and descends about 43 meters.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route in our safari jeeps. Chargers should be brought , however they should be British compatible. There are hot shower facilities as well both in Hotels and camping sites .

Are there ATMs on the way?

You can access ATMs on this Safari route in major towns. There are visa payment machines in the park, however you are advised to carry some cash in local currency just in case.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Uganda is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection. However our agency provides WIFI Services throughout the trips
